Nevershoutnever's new album is so incredible. It's like... I can't even comprehend how much I love it. I want it. I desire it. I have it, but that desire is still there. It's an interesting sensation.

Anyway, point of this entry:
I am enrolled in a photography class at school. Photography 101. And the main focus of this class will be, get this, black and white FILM photography. We will be working in a DARK ROOM!. I am happy, for sure.
I'm going to try to overlook the fact that I have to go all the way to Dublin for this, and that I have Public Speaking class the morning before Photography. But at least after Public Speaking I can escape to Photography.
We're going to be needing single lens reflex cameras, not just point and shoot ones, which is happy. I get to use my dads old Cannon AE-1. There is a wide angle lens and a zoom lens. I think the zoom lens has another name, though.

So at some point I'll actually be uploading photographs here. And I'll be SCANNING them in, not uploading them from a digital camera.

So if anyone has any interest in my minimal amount of artwork, you're in luck! There will be more soonish.

In other news, I went to see a roller derby scrimmage on Sunday. And if you've seen Whip It, and you should, you'll know how epic and bad-ass it is. Except we only have a flat track here. And roller skating is hard! In-line skates are so much easier to use. But I plan on going skating again soon and I WILL master those roller skates. And any of you cool kids are more than welcome to join me. Dunno when I'm going though.

I've been assigned to write an essay about myself. I need three paragraphs about Me, about who I am as a person, not what I do. So far I have two ideas: How I like to cook, and how calm and happy it makes me (dunno if that meets the requirements.) and how optimistic I am. I should really be optimistic more often, I just really hate school.
But no! LOVE AND HAPPINESS IS THE ANSWER! No hate. Tolerate school and make it doable. I'm still working on that, and I've been going to school for yeeaarrs. Haha.

At dinner tonight I asked Rachel if she'd seen the Spice Girls movie, and she said No. I then asked her if she'd ever listened to the Spice Girls, I think. And she said No. And then I asked her if the Spice Girls were before her, and she said Yes. I was amused. Five years makes a big difference in popular music and kids TV shows.

I need a theatre buddy to see Doctor Faustus with me at the Blackfriar Playhouse in Staunton.
